After graduating in 2005 with a degree in Product Design from De Montfort University (UK) the opportunity to see a little more of the world arose & the winds of change brought me (& my very supportive wife) to Hong Kong...where we've been ever since.
Working in Asia has given me the opportunity to work with numerous international brands & on a huge range of products from consumer electronics & lifestyle products to telecommunications & lighting. The choice of making HK home was down to it's proximity to the world's manufacture hubs which I believe has given me the opportunity & insight to experience firsthand the process of running product development and dealing with both clients & vendors.
Currently working as a Senior Designer for Philips Design in Hong Kong has given me the freedom & opportunity to strength my knowledge, as well as a platform from which to establish & pursue my own aspirations.
My plan for 2010 is to continue my study of Mandarin Chinese & the wealth of cultural diversity available to me, as well as questioning the role of design in society & its power to make a 'real' difference in people’s lives.
